A home grown lunatic.

The Atlanta outrage was last night being blamed on one of three terror types.

And last night an expert warned: "There's every chance the bomber will strike again."

Terror expert Brian Lewin said the killer was either:

A MEMBER of one of hundreds of anti-government militia groups.

A LONE "out of town" psychopath psy·cho·path
n.
A person with an antisocial personality disorder, especially one manifested in perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior.
 with a grudge grudge
tr.v. grudged, grudg·ing, grudg·es
1. To be reluctant to give or admit: even grudged the tuition money.

2.
 against society.

A LOCAL with a hate of the city and the Games.

Mr Lewin added: "The bomb was clearly designed to maim maim v. to inflict a serious bodily injury, including mutilation or any harm which limits the victim's ability to function physically. Originally, in English Common Law it meant to cut off or permanently cripple a bodily member like an arm, leg, hand, or foot.  and kill. It points to a home-grown group."

He believes international terrorists would have used plastic explosives, TNT TNT: see trinitrotoluene.
TNT
 in full trinitrotoluene

Pale yellow, solid organic compound made by adding nitrate (−NO2) groups to toluene.
or dynamite dynamite, explosive made from nitroglycerin and an inert, porous filler such as wood pulp, sawdust, kieselguhr, or some other absorbent material. The proportions vary in different kinds of dynamite; often ammonium nitrate or sodium nitrate is added. .

There are nearly 500 loony militia groups in America, many of whom demand "low or no taxes" and print leaflets on bomb-making.

They see "foreign" evil in everything and thrive in a country where only 12 per cent of the 250 million people have a passport.

Some militiamen believe the Games is a "cover" to flood America with Communist troops.
