Freelance editor Ashwin and historical geographer Davison present a historical atlas of Norfolk, a low-lying county in East Anglia East Anglia (ăng`glēə), kingdom of Anglo-Saxon England, comprising the modern counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. It was settled in the late 5th cent. by so-called Angles from northern Germany and Scandinavia.  in the east of southern England Southern England is an imprecise term used to refer to the southern counties of England. Differing usages apply the term with varying geographic extents.

In most definitions Southern England includes all the counties on the English Channel; from west to east these are:
    . Over 90 easily comparable maps are presented in this new edition, providing (along with the accompanying textual discussions) information on industries and agriculture; religious, education, and class demographics; transportation infrastructures; archaeological findings; political and military events; and other topics across the breadth of Norfolk's history.
