Northrop Frye was one of the most influential critics and intellectuals of the 20th century. An intimate picture of his personal life is revealed through correspondence with his first wife, Helen Kemp. These letters show Frye and Kemp engaging with and contributing to the unique cultural climate of the 1930's.
