A farewell to cancer campaigner.


INSPIRATIONAL campaigner Adrian Sudbury used his own memorial service to urge friends and relatives to continue his fight to see all young people educated about blood and bone marrow donation.

Sheffield Cathedral (The Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Paul, Sheffield) is the cathedral church for the Church of England diocese of Sheffield, England.
 which also featured a video tribute from Prime Minister Gordon Brown and a reading from Hollywood star The Hollywood Star was an idiosyncratic gossip tabloid published on an erratic schedule in Hollywood, California by William Kern, who wrote much of the magazine under the pseudonym "Bill Dakota.  Sean Bean.

He chronicled his 18-month battle with leukaemia in an on-line diary, Baldy's Blog - published in the Birmingham Mail The Birmingham Mail is a tabloid newspaper based in Birmingham, UK but distributed around Birmingham, The Black Country, Solihull, Warwickshire and parts of Worcestershire and Staffordshire.  - and won an army of supporters for his campaign to educate youngsters about blood and bone marrow donation.

 Mark Newitt reading the message which was specially written by the award-winning blogger before he lost his battle with leukaemia in August. The speech began: "Hello everyone. Hope there is a reasonable turnout but, let's face it, it doesn't really matter to me. I want today to be a celebration of my life and all the good times we have shared together. Feel free to have tears in your eyes but I hope, more importantly, it will leave you with a smile on your face."

The Huddersfield Examiner journalist thanked everyone who had helped him through his 20 month illness.

His parents, Keith and Kay Sudbury, also made a plea in the cathedral for their son's campaign to live on.
