The shop has been open for six months.

This is his working day:

8am Wake up, have a shower, feed the fish.

9am Walk to work in the centre of Newcastle ( this is the main exercise I get.

9.30am Arrive at work and open up the shop. Check my emails and see if I've managed to sell anything on ebay. Check the post.

10.30am Doors open ( deal with rush of customers ( well, sometimes! Handle customer enquiries. Order new stock. Today I'm enquiring about a 90m-year-old Hadrosaurid Egg from China.

12pm Buy a sandwich and bring it back to the shop to eat. Meet with local restaurateurs who are soon to open up opposite us, which should be good for business.

12pm Deal with more queries, as we get quite busy at lunch times

2.30pm Ring the Rock and Gem Fair organisers who are putting on an event in Newcastle on June 12 to see if we can exhibit our rocks, fossils and crystals.

3pm Meet with my advertising agency to discuss putting together some promotional literature for the shop.

5pm Check my emails again and answer any queries. Make final arrangements to an overseas buying trip in Morocco Morocco, country, Africa

 to order some new stock.

6.30pm Walk home, trying to avoid the pub. Make the tea.

7pm Play some classical guitar and do some painting.
