LOOKING at the photograph of George Randall Kennerley, who set up Ver nons Pools, in Tuesday's Daily Post, I just had to write in and comment on what a dashing dash·ing  
adj.
1. Audacious and gallant; spirited.

2. Marked by showy elegance; splendid: a dashing coat. See Synonyms at fashionable.
 chap he looked.

I suppose they all did in those days, before leisurewear lei·sure·wear  
n.
Informal, comfortable clothing designed for wear during times of rest and relaxation.
 became an acceptable form of everyday dress.

In offices these days, many men do not wear ties, a fact I personally find quite shocking. I could not take a businessman seriously if he wasn't properly dressed. Next they'll be wearing trainers! I was also impressed that he made it all the way to 100. Perhaps this is something to do with keeping up his appearance - an ordered wardrobe is an ordered mind.
