Caption: A colorfully designed construction fence was recently installed at the site of a planned 1 million-square-foot mixed-use multi-phase redevelopment project proposed in Norwalk, Connecticut. Called District 95/7, the project is comprised of approximately 525,000 s/f of office space, 250 condominium residences, 150,000 s/f of retail space and a 140-room hotel. The $400 million project is planned for a 12.6-acre site on the northern side of the Reed-Putnam Urban Renewal Area at the junction of 1-95 and Route 7 in Norwalk. Site preparation work, including the demolition of existing vacant structures, is under way at the property. The project, which is currently in the final stages of approval by the City of Norwalk, is scheduled to begin construction in 2007. District 95/7 is being developed by 95/ 7 Ventures LLC, a joint venture partnership of Spinnaker Real Estate Partners and Greenfield Partners, both of South Norwalk.
