A clean limerick.


Thanks to "Cork" in the March 11 issue for illustrating a limerick Limerick, city, Republic of Ireland
Limerick, city (1991 pop. 56,083), seat of Co. Limerick, SW Republic of Ireland, at the head of the Shannon estuary. The city has a port with two docks.
 I wrote for an English class in 1942:

There once was a monk monk: see monasticism. , called the abbot, / Who went hunting hares in his habit. / Along came an owl, / Laid an egg in his cowl, / And he missed the dang rabbit, dagnabit.
