A change of home venue for Telford.

TELFORD AC athletes will be hoping to take full advantage of being "at home" in tomorrow's second fixture of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross-Country League even though the venue has been changed.

A major archery tournament at Lilleshall has meant that the meeting has been transferred to Oldbury Wells School, Bridgnorth, which used to be a popular League venue.

Telford's men, who are notoriously fickle travellers, were out in strength in the opening fixture two weeks ago but cannot afford to ease up, with Eryri, Shrewsbury and a revitalised Wrexham all eager to take advantage of any slip-up.

Telford's ladies, meanwhile, who are simply too strong to be in Division Two, are expected to make a quick return to the top flight.

Also tomorrow the second fixture of the Energy Solutions North Wales Junior League takes place at the Welsh College of Horticulture, Northop.

On Sunday Aberystwyth AC stage the annual Twin Peaks race, a seven-mile multi-terrain event between two landmarks, Constitution Hill and the Duke of Wellington monument at Pen Dinas.
