All Canadian parties John Darby Naismith, a cattleman by profession, ran as the sole candidate for the All Canadian Party in the 1962 federal election in Canada. He ran in the riding of Acadia in Alberta.

It all sounds good but we recall that these are almost exactly the same promises the Liberal Party made in the past three elections. Martin argues that the past fiscal restraints he imposed as finance minister were necessary and that they created the financial stability that now makes it possible to implement Liberal Party promises.

Minority government has always been an opportunity for the voices advocating new and innovative social programs to be heard and to be persuasive. Advantage should be taken of this opportunity. The voices advocating for progressive social policy should be loud and clear.
