A case of the wrong trousers!


POLICE were called to a bizarre confrontation outside a Batley post office when two men threatened to cut a customer's trousers Trousers (or pants in Canada, South Africa and the United States, and sometimes called slacks or breeches — often pronounced /bɹɪtʃɪz/  off.

, 37, was approached by the men brandishing scissors while collecting his benefits from Batley Carr Batley Carr is a small, peaceful residential area near Batley and Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, England. It is midway between these two towns along Bradford Road.

Batley Carr housed the mill workers of the area working in the mills of Dewsbury, Batley and Batley Carr.
 post office on Town Street on Friday.

Mubin, of Batley, said it was not the first time the pair had tried to attack his clothing.

He said similar incidents had happened before but he had no idea why the pair wanted to damage his trousers.

He said: "Every week I go down to the post office, and every week they come at me.

"I don't know what it is, I thought they were joking at first.

"It was pretty frightening, they were coming at me with the scissors and I fell down but managed to get away and my trousers are okay."

Police officers have spoken to all parties concerned and no crime was recorded.
