A body blow for sevens.


England lost their second head coach in the space of 12 hours last night after Mike Friday Mike Friday (born 25 April 1972, in Chichester) is the former England Rugby Union Sevens head coach. He was named to the position near the end of the 2003/2004 season after serving for three years as assistant to Joe Lydon.  confirmed he is to quit as Sevens boss to pursue business interests in the City.

Andy Robinson (born 3 April 1964 in Taunton, Somerset) is a former English rugby union footballer who played openside flanker for Bath and England.

While the Rugby Football Union were under severe pressure to replace Robinson after eight defeats in nine Test matches, they would much rather have kept Friday on board. The former Wasps player replaced Joe Lydon as head coach in 2004 and guided England to consecutive victories in Hong Kong and Dubai.
