A bloody reminder.

Byline: Elaine C. Smith

AS we all get on with our lives, we forget that life in Iraq is still a daily hell for many.

The bombing in a crowded marketplace on Friday was a reminder that the mess we contributed to is still there.

It is no accident that this happened just days after George Bush told the American people in his State of the Union address that all was going well in Iraq since the US surge.

I doubt if the pictures and deaths beaming across the world will tell people that all is well.

All is far from well and the people of Iraq must not be forgotten.
