A bldg grows in Melville.

T. Weiss Realty is continuing construction work on the Melville Corporate Center III (MCC III), a new class A office building at 324 South Service Road in Melville, N.Y.

MCC III is being built on the six-acre former Superior Packaging plant site. T. Weiss Realty, which specializes in converting obsolete industrial buildings into modern office space, has stripped the structure to its steel and expanded the footprint to encompass 118,050 s/f of space. The new four-story granite and glass building will combine functionality and aesthetics with an environmentally friendly design.

A state-of-the-art communications infrastructure was developed with the lessons of the Northeast power grid failure and Hurricane Katrina in mind. MCC III is the first building of its kind on Long Island to be pre-wired for uninterruptible power supply, telecommunications and security. A self-contained generator insures a seamless continuation of power and telephone service, even in the event of a prolonged widespread outage. The building is further protected by a proximity card system pre-wired to control exterior doors, interior hallways and offices. High speed Internet, digital telecommunications and broadband data network systems are pre-wired as well, as is Wi-Fi access in the conference room. atrium and Internet cafe.
