A big 'no' to road pricing.A PETITION against road pricing Road pricing is a term used to cover all the various charges applied for the use of roads. The term includes fuel taxes, licence fees, tolls, and congestion charges, including those which may vary by time of day, by the specific road, or by the specific vehicle type, being used. set up on the Prime Minister's website has now passed one million signatures. It is more than 10 times larger than any of the other 1700 petitions submitted to the site since it opened last November. "The Association of British Drivers" is the sole operating name of "Pro-Motor", a company limited by guarantee and registered in the United Kingdom. (ABD), who back the petition, said: "This level of support for a petition against road pricing shows that the public are massively against the whole concept." He said: "I have always reacted strongly against the idea of paying per mile to use the roads. "It is going to be unfair, and will limit our personal freedom and economic activity. "It will be colossally expensive to implement and time consuming for drivers as they work out how to minimise the cost of their journeys - or even whether they can afford to travel at all."
