Ernex Marketing Technologies, Vancouver, is offering a loyalty dat base hosting system for the administration of credit-card rewards programs. The service has recently been implemented by Royal Bank of Canada, which uses the service to administer its points-earning premium Visa credit card databases. Ernex is a wholly owned Royal Bank of Canada subsidiary.

Among the services in the Ernex loyalty database management suite: a help-desk browser interface that permits customer service representatives to look up cardholders and make account adjustments; an interface that permits real-time redemption of cardholder points; online catalog design and management; fulfillment processing and auditing; and database synchronization and reporting.

Ernex says the service removes much of the rigidity that characterizes other systems, which rely on batch processing, manual processing and departments that often operate in isolation. www.ernexinc.com
