. Our organization remains very fortunate to have so many dedicated professionals who lend their time and expertise to our publishing program. Everyone who contributes to ACEI's publications, whether through reviewing, field editing, writing, or planning, deserves a special thank-you.

New Publications

Over the past 12 months, we have made several new publications available to the education community. We are pleased to be able to offer such quality publications as Resisting the Pendulum Swing: Informed Perspectives on Education Controversies, edited by Mary Renck Jalongo, and Early Childhood Education and Care in the 21st Century, a joint publication with the World Organization for Early Childhood Education. Resisting the Pendulum Swing provides teachers with "a spectrum of information about current controversies so that they would be better equipped to blend action with reflection." Early Childhood Education and Care in the 21st Century presents global guidelines guidelines,

As part of ACEI's mission to advocate for children's well-being, we also have concentrated some efforts toward issuing position papers. Planned Publications

We are very pleased with the future outlook for ACEI's publishing program. Beverly Hardcastle Stanford and Kaoru Yamamoto are putting together an edited book on children and stress.
