A World Class Selection of Aston Martins to Exhibit at the Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance.


HILLSBOROUGH, Calif. -- Sunday, May 1, 2005 Event Will Also Feature Extensive Collection of Rare Bentley Automobiles.

The Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance A Concours d'Elegance (from French meaning a competition of elegance) is a competition between automobile owners to be judged on the appearance of their automobiles. These are commonly held at auto shows or after racing competition.  announced today that a world class collection of vehicles will attend the 49th Concours d'Elegance on May 1, 2005. This very high quality show will feature some of the most rare and unique automobiles in the world today.

This is especially true of the 44 entrants from the dual Marque classes: Aston Martin Aston Martin Lagonda Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury performance cars, whose headquarters are at Gaydon, Warwickshire, England. The company name is derived from the Aston Clinton hill climb and one of the company's founders, Lionel Martin.  and Bentley. There were 19 Zagato-bodied Aston Martin DB4 GTs ever made, and 3 of them will be on the field at Hillsborough. Other significant Aston Martins and Bentleys entered are:

--A 1949 Aston Martin DB2 Prototype Coupe that has campaigned at Le Mans and Spa.

These unique cars will be joined by special displays from the Arcane Auto Society and Miniature Engines from the Bay Area Engine Modelers society.

Proceeds of the Concours d'Elegance benefit the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting the Hillsborough Public Schools.
