A Wisconsin tradition.Chris Bull wrote a wonderful article about the LGBT LGBT Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender community becoming more active in local government ["Governing 101," October 28]. I was honored to be one of the many LGBT elected officials mentioned. However, there was an error in the story: I was not the first openly gay member of the Dane County, Wis., board of supervisors. Three pioneering people served before me. Dick Wagner served for several years on the board, later becoming chairman. He was openly gay during all that time. Mark Pocan Mark Pocan (born August 14, 1964 in Kenosha, Wisconsin) is an American politician from the state of Wisconsin. Since 1998, he has served in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Pocan attended Mary Bradford High School in Kenosha. served for five years on the board and was elected in 1998 to the state legislature A state legislature may refer to a legislative branch or body of a political subdivision in a federal system.
