A Wichita Area Technical College student is one of the first women to take and pass I-CAR's welding qualification test in Kansas.


A Wichita Area Technical College Wichita Area Technical College is a vocational-technical school located in Wichita, Kansas. The school is governed by the Kansas Board of Regents. The college has been in operation since 1965 and currently offers associates degrees, diplomas and certificates in over 25 areas of  student is one of the first women to take and pass I-CAR's welding welding, process for joining separate pieces of metal in a continuous metallic bond. "There will never be a time in my life where I will not need education," says Ringer. "I will always pursue training to stay on the cutting edge. As with any industry, education is the key."
