A WARM WELCOME AWAITS ALL FROM THE URDD; THE National Urdd Eisteddfod starts tomorrow night with a Bryn Terfel concert at the Wales Millennium Centre. And around 100,000 visitors from across Wales are expected to converge on Cardiff Bay over the coming week. How many youngsters will be taking part? 15,000 competitors are expected. A daily adult ticket is pounds 10 (concessions pounds 9) and pounds 6 for children. Under 4s are free. A family ticket (for two children and two adults) is pounds 27. On Saturday, May 30, the festival's final day, there is a special offer on tickets. Two adults for the price of one and kids go free with a copy of the Echo. Where is it in Cardiff Bay? The Eisteddfod's hub will be the Wales Millennium Centre The Wales Millennium Centre (Welsh: Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru) is a centre for the performing arts located on the Cardiff Bay waterfront. Opened in November 2004, it has hosted performances of opera, ballet, dance, comedy and musicals. . There will also be 150 stalls and exhibitions in and around the centre with the Craft, Design and Technology exhibition located within the Senedd building. Roald Dahl Plas will be a hive of activity while the Odeon Cinemas in the Red Dragon Centre will host the preliminary competitions from 7.45am. What are the opening hours? The Eisteddfod opens its doors at 7am and the daily events come to a close around 6pm. The evening concerts kick off at 8pm. Tomorrow's opening concert is a celebration of 10 years of the Bryn Terfel Scholarship with the famous bass baritone himself taking to the stage of the Donald Gordon Theatre. The lower end of Lloyd George Avenue southbound will be closed from the Hemingway Road junction to the Wales Millennium Centre and Bute Place (behind the Wales Millennium Centre from Pierhead Street to Bute Street) will be closed from May 23 to May 31 inclusive. What are the main daily ceremonies?
