Novawiz, Inc., developer of Odigo (http://www.odigo.com), the premier "next-generation" web surfing, chat and messaging tool, today announced "Homepager," a new feature that enables Web surfers to be notified when a visitor enters their home page or any other Web page designated by them.

While an Odigo user is surfing anywhere on the Web, Homepager runs in the background, monitoring their home page (or any other web page they specify). When a visitor enters that page, Odigo pings them with a small audio alert -- much like a doorbell. The user can then send the visitor an instant message, initiate a chat right on the page, or ask to send them an e-mail. Or, the user can simply monitor the page, to see who comes and goes. Visitors will not know the site or page is being monitored by an Odigo user, unless the user chooses to let them know.

"Homepager adds a level of functionality that will promote both community and person-to-person commerce," said Shai Buber, president of Novawiz. "Now, rather than guessing why an individual visited a particular page, or wondering what they think of it, you can pose the question in real time. The feedback can then be incorporated to strengthen the site to the interests of that particular "community." Homepager is the latest addition to Odigo, a free Internet search and communications tool. Odigo combines real-time information, dynamic graphics and a sophisticated search technique based on users' real-time interests. It merges instant messaging, chat-on-page and temporary web page note posting tools into one fun, easy-to-use, feature-rich application. Odigo also lets users build friends lists, send e-mail and files, suggest URLs to be added to Odigo's search directory, and select their own online "face" from ten galleries of images.

Odigo requires a Pentium 100 or higher, 32MB or more of memory, Windows 95/98/2000 or NT 4.0. Odigo supports Internet Explorer versions 3.0 and higher and Netscape versions 3.0 and higher, NeoPlanet versions 2.x and 5 and Opera version 3.6. Versions of Odigo for Macintosh and other platforms are currently under development as well.
