A Tasty $15,000 Donation from Fetzer Vineyards & Horizon Beverage; Holiday Shoppers Enjoying a Glass of Wine Generated Seasonal Joy for Boston Share Our Strength Chapter.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2003

The holiday stocking of the local Share Our Strength chapter was boosted with a $15,000 donation generated by the sale of Fetzer wines in participating restaurants and retailers during the holiday season. In area restaurants, the donation amounted to a dollar donated do·nate

 per bottle of Fetzer Five Rivers Ranch ranch, large farm devoted chiefly to raising and breeding cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. The cattle ranch was introduced from Latin America to Texas and the plains of the W United States and Canada. , Fetzer Barrel Select and Bonterra wines.

Retailers and restaurateurs supported the program during the final quarter of the year by creating store displays and featuring Fetzer's wines by the glass in participating restaurants, where patrons were given the chance to support SOS SOS, code letters of the international distress signal. The signal is expressed in International Morse code as … — — — … (three dots, three dashes, three dots).  through their beverage choices.

The donation, from Fetzer Vineyards and wholesaler partner Horizon Beverage, was presented recently during a Holiday Shopping With Taste event at the Crate & Barrel store in the Back Bay section of Boston.

Share Our Strength is one of the nation's leading anti-hunger organizations, and is widely supported by restaurateurs, wineries and others in hospitality and food and beverage F&B is a common abbreviation in the United States and Commonwealth countries, including Hong Kong. F&B is typically the widely accepted abbreviation for "Food and Beverage," which is the sector/industry that specializes in the conceptualization, the making of, and delivery of foods. .
