It is headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA. Its name is officially rendered in all caps as “PGA TOUR". members Peter Jacobsen Peter Erling Jacobsen (born March 4, 1954) is an American professional golfer. Early life Jacobsen was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Portland’s Lincoln High School.[1] He played golf in college at the University of Oregon. , Mark Lye Mark Ryan Lye (born November 13, 1952) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and currently plays on the Champions Tour. We're not quite sure yet. But obviously they've had a lot of fun doing it. The threesome, known as Jake Trout and the Flounders, could be accused of veering too far off the cart path with their debut CD ``I Love To Play'' (EMI-Capital), but then rocker-turned-golfers like Alice Cooper, Huey Lewis Huey Lewis (born Hugh Anthony Cregg, III on July 5, 1950) is an American musician and occasional actor. He sings lead vocals and plays harmonica for his band Huey Lewis & The News. , Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Darius Rucker and Glenn Frey are equal accomplices. Blame - and credit - all goes to Jacobsen, who's not only lead vocalist but the main re-writer of 12 rock standards. While each do backup vocals, Lye bangs on his non-air guitar while Stewart is listed as the seldom-heard harmonica harmonica. 1 The simplest of the musical instruments employing free reeds, known also as the mouth organ or French harp. It was probably invented in 1829 by Friedrich Buschmann of Berlin, who called his instrument the Mundäoline. player. Surprisingly, Gary McCord is not involved in the project. In true Yankovic fashion, Jacobsen has golf-ized versions of songs better known as rock standards, starting with the title cut that plugs in his words to the Randy Newman classic ``I Love L.A.'' For example: Playin' down that big old fairway Don't want no hackers to get in my way The boys and me got a big Nassau goin' We were born to drive ... Harbor Town Golf Links - we love it! Pebble Beach - we love it! That's par for the CD. Jacobsen's impressive range goes from the smooth takeoff of Stills' ``Love the One You're With'' with his ``Love the One You Whiff'' to the raspy rasp·y adj. rasp·i·er, rasp·i·est Rough; grating. Unfortunately, Jake can't get the Joe Walsh whine down on his version of ``Life's Been Good (To Me So Far)'' that's been changed to ``It'd Be Good (To Just Make Par).'' Steppenwolf, War, the Box Tops and REO Speedwagon are also ground up in Jacobsen's lyrical blender and come out equally clever. It doesn't hurt that Frey, Nash, Stills, Cooper and Rucker actually do backup vocals on the remakes of their songs. From a rock-band standpoint, Jake Trout and the Flounders show birdie potential but might need more time on the vocal range. If this effort would have been perfect as the ``Happy Gilmore'' sound track, they've got ``Tin Cup'' in them somewhere. Oh, and the great part is, if the music misses the cut, this CD has another use - shove it into the PC or the Mac and there's a multimedia golf instruction from the guys. |
