The company is based in Houston, Texas.  500 in Fort Worth. But it was missing its biggest name - piano virtuoso Van Cliburn Van Cliburn (b. Harvey Lavan Cliburn Jr., July 12, 1934), is an American pianist who achieved worldwide recognition in 1958, when at age 23, he won the first quadrennial International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow, at the height of the Cold War. .

Cliburn, who lives in Fort Worth, was supposed to play the national anthem, but confusion among the helicopters ferrying fans into the facility left him waiting on the tarmac at Alliance Airport, about four miles away.

Speedway officials didn't realize Cliburn wasn't there until three minutes before he was to perform. Country singer Woody Lee, who was to have sung ``Deep In The Heart Of Texas,'' was pressed into service for ``The Star-Spangled Banner.''
