reports that residents are upset about naming the team the ``Blast'' and its mascot ``Kaboom KABOOM Key Atomic Benefits Office of Mankind (Naked Gun 2 1/2) ,'' said John Frank, a councilman in the hometown of astronaut Judy Resnik.

Resnik was one of seven astronauts who died on Jan. 28, 1986, in the space shuttle space shuttle, reusable U.S. space vehicle. Developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), it consists of a winged orbiter, two solid-rocket boosters, and an external tank.  Challenger explosion - the worst accident in the history of space exploration.

``The name is a lousy name, period,'' Frank said. ``You don't have to be a rocket scientist Rocket Scientist

 to figure that out.''

Frank's resolution would require approval by a majority of the 13 members to pass. The resolution would not be binding.

Team owner Mike Agganis announced the name last week to honor the area's role in the space program. In addition to Resnik, Ohio is home of the Wright Brothers, John Glenn and Neil Armstrong.

Last week, Agganis said he had received 60 to 70 calls from people in support of the name, with the logo of a red cat with a jet pack on its back.

Agganis has said the name refers to home runs and good times, and would not be associated with the shuttle tragedy.
