A SIDEWAYS GLANCE : MONEY COUNTS MORE THAN HOME RUNS.

The Atlanta-Fulton County Recreation Authority has backed off its controversial plan to name a plaza outside the new Braves stadium after home run king Hank Aaron.

The Braves, owned by Turner Broadcasting, had opposed the plan on grounds that it usurped the team's right to name the new stadium and the surrounding plaza.

The authority agreed to work with the Braves on a new plan to honor Aaron: naming a nearby street Hank Aaron Drive, placing an Aaron statue and bust in the plaza area, and placing a marker in the parking lot to commemorate Aaron's record-breaking 715th homer.

The stadium is to be named for TBS founder Ted Turner For other persons named Ted Turner, see Ted Turner (disambiguation).

The buttons are the same style used by the Eisenhower presidential campaign in the 1950s, with Fontaine's smiling face in the middle. There are basketballs on either side of his picture, instead of the American flag.
