What's a good coach worth? At Syracuse University Syracuse University, main campus at Syracuse, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered 1870, opened 1871. Syracuse is noted for its research programs in government and industry; facilities include the Center for Science and Technology, the Newhouse Communications Center, and , more than the chancellor and professors.

Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim James Arthur "Jim" Boeheim (IPA: [ˈbeʲ.haʲm]) (born November 17, 1944 in Lyons, New York) is the men's basketball head coach for Syracuse University. In his twenty-ninth season as head coach for Syracuse, he earned his 700th victory, becoming only the eighteenth  and football coach Paul Pasqualoni Paul Pasqualoni (born August 16, 1949) is an American football coach. He is currently an assistant coach in charge of linebackers with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. He was the head coach of the Syracuse University football team from 1991 to 2004.  topped the university's payroll list for the fiscal 1995-1996 year, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported Tuesday.

 the university's tax forms for the fiscal year that ended June 30, Chancellor Kenneth Shaw earned the most in base pay at $229,195, about $1,200 more than Boeheim.

But in total compensation - salary, benefits and other deferred payments - Boeheim earned $299,249 from the university. Pasqualoni, who has a 50-17-1 record after six seasons and has taken the Orangemen to three revenue-producing bowl games, earned $290,472.

Salaries for Syracuse's 805 full-time faculty averaged $56,615.

The earning figures did not include endorsements, appearance fees or other income the coaches may have earned outside the university.

Syracuse's basketball team last season made it to the NCAA NCAA
abbr.
National Collegiate Athletic Association
 national-championship game, where it lost to Kentucky. The football team was victorious in the Gator Bowl.
