Though Peyton the QB should always have the advantage when he sends receivers long, Peyton the giraffe one day should be able to beat him in a foot race. Grown giraffes can run downfield at 35 mph.

Why did the zoo name Peyton, Peyton? ``Because we're all such Vol fans,'' executive director Patrick Roddy said.

``We respect Peyton Manning a great deal and want him to know what we're all cheering for him for the 1996 season and for him to win the Heisman Trophy.''
