A PINT FOR A PINT INCENTIVES OFFERED FOR LOCAL BLOOD DONORS.Byline: Daily News GLENDALE - ``A pint pint: see English units of measurement. for a pint'' is the deal offered at Sunday's community blood drive, in which blood donors will receive coupons for free pints of Baskin-Robbins 31 Flavors ice cream. All those who make donations, which will benefit patients at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, also will receive a free meal at Pat & Oscar's Restaurant, 2921 Los Feliz Blvd. in Glendale. Glendale Memorial T-shirts also will be available as gifts. Organizers hope to collect 40 to 50 pints of blood Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. . The hospital typically uses 200 to 300 pints a month, and supplies are particularly low right now. ``There's usually a surge in admissions right after the holidays,'' said Dave Keys, blood supply coordinator for the hospital. ``We are critically short.'' The blood drive will run from noon to 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the restaurant's parking lot, a half-mile west of the hospital. Walk-ins are accepted, but to register in advance call the restaurant at (323) 913-4120.
