SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m., with the welcome and brunch to begin at 10 a.m., followed by the program and awards ceremony. Tickets are $30 and can be reserved by calling Alyce Huff at (661) 296-4401.

Keynote speaker will be marriage and family therapist Judith Harris, whose address is titled ``Didn't My Skin Used to Fit? Finding Humor When Nothing's Funny.''

, Harris blends humor, psychology and culture in a powerful way to help her audience understand how they became who they are. As director of the Attitudinal Health Association, she provides counseling and humor-based wellness training to individuals, groups and companies.

International sports program for people with intellectual disability. It provides year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type summer and winter sports for participants.

Sarro was a founding member of the local Zonta chapter who died of cancer two years ago. She also was active with the hospital guild, the city of Santa Clarita foundation committee and the Canyon Theatre Guild Theatre Guild

U.S. theatrical society. Founded in New York City in 1918 by Lawrence Langner (1890–1962) and others, the group proposed to produce high-quality, noncommercial plays.

Chris Miller, chairwoman of the event, will introduce each of the honorees. The club expects more than 100 guests.

Zonta is an international organization of executives and professionals who work to improve the status of women worldwide. The local club's major projects include the Healthy Kids Club for girls from the community of Val Verde, Healthy Women's Day free health screenings for women, Rent-A-Santa and a number of scholarships and grants.
