The singer songwriter is more used to performing in front of 30- somethings, but impressed the teens who came along to see the two female stars when he toured with them.

Natty said: "There was definitely a different type of crowd than I'm used to with a lot of 13, 14, and 15 year-olds. But it's good because they seemed to like the show."

More recently Natty has been headlining, and performed at Birmingham's Glee Club last week.

"It was a really intimate gig. There was just me and three musicians Three Musicians is the title of two similar oil paintings by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. They were both completed in 1921 in the Synthetic Cubist style. One version is currently displayed in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City; the other is found in the  because that's all there was room for on stage," he said.

Natty started out as a sound engineer, but his job meant he could use the music studio in his spare time - even if that was at 3am when nobody else was around.

"It was cool because I got to learn how to use the equipment and I wasn't paying for studio time," he recalled.

"I didn't get to hang out with my mates much, but it was worth it in the end."

Natty's new single Cold Town is out on April 28.
