A MESSAGE FROM THE NSCAA PRESIDENT.


Sportsmanship through the World's Game

What a landmark year it has been for soccer in the United States Soccer, which is known simply as football in most countries, has long been a popular sport in the United States. It is the most popular recreational sport for both boys and girls, and according to "History of Soccer: The Beautiful Game", has been so for about 25 years. ! The tremendous Women's World Cup The Women's World Cup could refer to either the:
  • FIFA Women's World Cup
  • UCI Women's Road World Cup
  • Women's Cricket World Cup
  • Women's Rugby World Cup
 this summer is slipping into history as one of the most memorable sporting events of this century, the men's National Team has captured some exciting wins, MLS wraps MLS Wrap was a MLS highlight show that aired on Fox Soccer Channel. Sean Wheelock often hosted with analyst John Harkes.  up its fourth season and the new millennium promises Millennium Promise is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty by 2025. Its flagship initiative, Millennium Villages, is an integrated, community-driven strategy meant to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and provide communities with the basic  to produce even greater accomplishments for our sport.

As a capstone to this historical year, I invite you to attend our 53rd annual NSCAA NSCAA National Soccer Coaches Association of America (since 1941; Mission, Kansas)
NSCAA National Small College Athletic Association
 convention in Baltimore. This yearly event is the premier educational and networking forum for soccer coaches at every level of the game in the U.S.

The program is filled with exceptional clinics by the best clinicians in the game, business meetings, hospitality, awards recognition, and an exhibit hall filled with the latest in soccer apparel and equipment, videos, fundraising programs, travel agencies, books and software.

Philadelphia last year offered a record-breaking convention with nearly 6,000 attendees, and we expect our meeting in Baltimore to be even more successful. We will be recognizing the Women's National Team The examples and perspective in this article or section may not represent a worldwide view of the subject.

 for its tremendous accomplishment in bringing the World Cup back to the U.S., and we will be looking ahead to Euro 2000 and the next Olympics in Australia as a focus in our programs.
