Each copy of Metroid Prime: Trilogy contains three games: Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The first two games, originally released for Nintendo GameCube The Nintendo GameCube (GCN) is Nintendo's fourth home video game console, belonging to the sixth generation era. The system itself is the most compact and least expensive, next to the Dreamcast, of the sixth generation era consoles. ([TM]), have been updated for play using the innovative Wii motion-control system that debuted with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. These controls bring a new level of immersion and freedom to these award-winning games. Also, for the first time ever, all three games are rendered in a vivid 16:9 wide-screen presentation. Players can now select the game they want to play through a unified main menu that ties together all three adventures, and gain access to bonus materials through a new in-game unlockables system.

Each copy of Metroid Prime: Trilogy comes in a Collector's Edition metal case with a protective slipcover, and includes a special art booklet highlighting content from all three Metroid Prime games. It was founded in 1998 by Jeff Spangenberg as a second-party developer to Japan-based video game company Nintendo.  and Nintendo, the same developers that created the original games for the Nintendo GameCube and Wii systems.
