A LOT OF HOT AIR FLYING START FOR PARADE.


PALMDALE -- Hot-air balloons floated over Palmdale on Saturday to kick off the seventh annual Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For the census-designated place in Wyoming, see Antelope Valley-Crestview, Wyoming.

The Antelope Valley
 Labor Day Labor Day, holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September to honor the laborer. It was inaugurated by the Knights of Labor in 1882 and made a national holiday by the U.S. Congress in 1894.  Sky Parade.

Balloons will launch again today and Monday at dawn at Marie Kerr Park, on Rancho Vista Boulevard at 30th Street West.

The balloons include a 166-foot-tall pink Energizer bunny The Energizer Bunny is the marketing icon and mascot of Energizer batteries. It is a pink rabbit that beats a bass drum and wears sunglasses and blue sandals and has been appearing in television commercials since 1989.  balloon, and a balloon that looks like Smokey Bear Smokey Bear is a fictional character of the longest running public service campaign in United States history. The character's mission is to raise public awareness to protect America's forests. .

The park festival includes wine and food tasting with all four local wineries participating, as well as vendor booths, breakfast, treats and music. Wine tasting Noun 1. wine tasting - a gathering of people to taste and compare different wines

Proceeds benefit charities in the Antelope Valley. Admission is free.
