The catch: In order to qualify for Comedy Central, they perform little skits on the links that are charitably described as halfheartedly conceived. They argue over who plays with whom - no one wants to play with John. They argue over Bill's insistence to use a tighter-wound woman's ball. They argue whether Bill's shot qualifies as a draw or a hook. They wear wacky costumes. They try to distract one another when taking their strokes. They make product-placement jokes. They shoot apropos-of-nothing scenes featuring cavorting women in bikinis, mainly just to have women in bikinis hang around them, I guess. Think Chevy Chase's late-night show and you're in the right neighborhood. Nearly unwatchably amateurish, ``The Sweet Spot'' amounts to slapdash slap·dash adj. Hasty and careless, as in execution: slapdash work. adv. In a reckless haphazard manner. celebrity home movies. You'll want to start a collection to pay for their golfing ventures as long as it keeps them off TV. Thank heavens the Murray boys don't share a domination fetish fetish (fĕt`ĭsh), inanimate object believed to possess some magical power. The fetish may be a natural thing, such as a stone, a feather, a shell, or the claw of an animal, or it may be artificial, such as carvings in wood. ; I'd hate to see what kind of show would develop from that.
