Now that we have the carved pumpkins out of the way, it's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to enjoy a few pumpkin treats, many being offered throughout the holiday season. Here are a few restaurants featuring pumpkin dishes worth consideration:

Ca' de Sole

Cuisine: Italian.

Comments: In addition to its capable Venetian kitchen, cool jazz bar and suprisingly deep wine cellar, its romantic patio now serves Venetian barbecue dinners for $9.95 every Monday evening.

Picks: A pasta delicacy if there ever was one is the pumpkin mezzaluna (half-moon-shaped) with sage and butter sauce.

California Pizza Kitchen California Pizza Kitchen (NASDAQ: CPKI, known within the food industry as CPK) is a casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in California-style pizza. The restaurant was started in 1985 by attorneys Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax in Beverly Hills, California,

Comments: This picturesque building houses an upscale Italian restaurant where affluent diners from both sides of the hill enjoy its alta cucina.

Comments: This tiny upstairs hideaway with good food and moderate pricing has become a favored rendezvous for both business deals and romantic dining dates.

Picks: This year pumpkin soup and pumpkin cheesecake join the signature pumpkin tortelloni with sage sauce.

Comments: Dishes have great looks, great taste and very affordable prices. What more can you ask?

Picks: Look for pumpkin soup tonight and pumpkin ravioli regularly. Also their Japanese pumpkin in the popular Asian chicken-saute dish.
