A LA CARTE : THE ALL-AMERICAN COBBLER.

There's something especially comforting about a cobbler. It's warm, satisfying and very American. And it's an easy dessert to share, especially as an ending to a hearty, no-nonsense meat-and-potatoes meal. Here are a few restaurants that bake cobblers worth consideration:

Carmichael's

Cuisine: American.

Type(s): Seasonal fruit cobblers are served hot with vanilla bean ice cream. Current one is blueberry blueberry, plant of the large genus Vaccinium, widely distributed shrubs (occasionally small trees) of the family Ericaceae (heath family), usually found on acid soil. They are often confused with the related huckleberry. .

Dakota's BBQ BBQ barbecue

Type(s): Cobblers here are made with Last Chance peaches and blueberries. Served with vanilla ice cream. Look for apple-cranberry cobblers in a couple of weeks.
