Huge themed restaurants, most of them with a strong entertainment connection, are making their presence felt across America.

And many of them start right here in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. .

They may have music themes (rock, country, soul, blues, pop), film, fashion, magic, the Old West, even capturing the days of old when knights were bold.

In Minnesota a rain forest-themed chain began. Here in L.A. a submarine-themed eating place backed by major show-biz names opened and spawned a second one in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. .

Hard Rock Cafe Hard Rock Cafe is a chain of casual dining restaurants. It was founded in 1971 by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, and their first Hard Rock Cafe opened near Hyde Park Corner in London, in a former Rolls Royce car dealerships showroom close to Hyde Park, where in 1979 they began to
