As usual, just about every restaurant of consequence does something special for Mother's Day, May 9.

Hotels, of course, generally proffer To offer or tender, as, the production of a document and offer of the same in evidence.

 elaborate brunch buffets. And some of the larger hostelries present a whole slate of dining options.

Whatever the choice, reservations (if taken) should be made immediately.

Here are a few Mother's Day dining opportunities worth consideration:

Bistro Garden

Menu highlights: Champagne sit-down brunch is three courses with five to eight options per course. Also Bouvet sparkling wine and coffee or tea.

Price: $48 (children under 12, $30).

Miscellaneous: Special three-course prix-fixe dinner with two wines is $55 (children under 12, $30).

Boomerock

Address: 61 Raymond Ave., Pasadena.

Menu highlights: Three Aussie-style prix-fixe meals include options like Illawara plum-glazed barbecued baby-back ribs and citrus-marinated tree trunk chicken. Also regular hot-rock items.

Price: $22 to $27 per person.

Miscellaneous: Soft jazz combo and gift of fresh Australian flowers.

Cha Cha Cha Encino

To cook in a boiling or simmering liquid: Poach the fish in wine.

Greek Bistro
