The main choices for the big brunches around town are the hotels. Here are a few worth calling if you're still without plans for Mother's Day:

Hyatt Hotels

Address: Hyatt West Hollywood The Hyatt West Hollywood is a 262-room hotel located at 8401 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, California (at Kings Road).

It opened in 1958 as the Gene Autry Hotel. Sold in 1966, it was renamed the Continental Hyatt House.

New Otani The New Otani is a chain of hotels, with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The main hotel in Tokyo opened in 1964, to coincide with the Tokyo Olympics of that year, and is known for the revolving restaurant atop the hotel, along with the New Otani Art Museum located on its sixth floor.  Hotel

Meal: Japanese brunch buffet in A Thousand Cranes Thousand Cranes is a novel by Japanese author Yasunari Kawabata, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1968. This was the first time any Japanese author won this prize.  ($28, seniors $25, under 10 for $19) and American brunch in Azalea azalea (əzāl`yə) [Gr.,=dry], any species of the genus Rhododendron, North American and Asian shrubs of the family Ericaceae (heath family) that are distinguished by the usually deciduous leaves.  ($20, seniors $17, under 10 for $11).

Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel

Westin Century Plaza Hotel The Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles is a landmark 19-story luxury hotel forming a sweeping crescent design fronting the spectacular fountains on Avenue of the Stars adjacent to the twin Century Plaza Towers.
