A LA CARTE\OSCAR PARTIES.

If you're ready to put on the dog and go to an Oscar-viewing party, several will let you in.

Many bashes are strictly invitational, so don't bother with Spago (Miramax), Drai's (Columbia TriStar), Chasen's (Paramount), Maple Drive (Elton John's AIDS Foundation party), Morton's (Vanity Fair), Abiquiu (Buzz magazine), Georgia (private, but not hosted) and, of course, the Governors Ball at the Music Center.

But for Joe Citizen, here are a few restaurants with Oscar parties worth consideration:

Century Club & Grill

Address: 10131 Constellation Blvd., Century City.

Cuisine: Continental.

Comments: Dubbed the Night of 100 Stars, this celebrity-packed event is a black-tie affair hosted by Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  magazine and Geneva Geneva, canton and city, Switzerland

Organizers expect Roseanne, Rod Steiger, Vanessa Williams, Elliott Gould, Larry King, Sid Caesar, Charles Bronson, Maria Conchita Alonso, Gene Barry, Shirley Jones, Marty Ingels, James Coburn and Milton Berle to attend. A few tickets at $500 per person are still available.

Comments: This is the first Oscar wine dinner party here. It begins at 6 p.m. with assorted pupus (tropical island tidbits TidBITS is an award-winning electronic newsletter and web site dealing primarily with Apple Computer and Macintosh-related topics. Internet publication
TidBITS has been published weekly since April 16, 1990, which makes it one of the longest running Internet publications.
) and a bubbly reception with Gloria Ferrer Brut Brut, Brute (both: brt), or Brutus (br  Royal. The tab is $45 inclusive.

Comments: Look for owner Bernard Erpicum to have several of his celebrity investors at his best tables. There'll be televisions around the dining room.

Menu: Again this year the regular menu will be in force with wood-roasted whole fish as the kitchen's signature entrees.

Ed Debevic's

Address: 134 N. La Cienega Blvd., Beverly Hills.

Phone: (310) 659-9992.

Cuisine: '50s American diner food.

Comments: Proceeds go to the L.A. Regional Foodbank for this $25-per-person, big-screen viewing bash. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dress up like your favorite star and you may win the costume contest.

Menu: It's an all-you-can-eat meal that includes Ed's famous milkshakes, cheeseburgers, meatloaf, Buffalo wings and chick sticks.

Green Street

Address: 146 S. Shoppers Lane, Pasadena.

Phone: (818) 577-7170.

Cuisine: International.

Comments: Winners of the "Pick the Oscars" contest will be announced at this finale of a weeklong celebration.

Menu: Regular and special items plus Pillsbury Bake-Off's winning chocolate macadamia macadamia (măk'ədā`mēə), name for the nut of the Macadamia ternifolia, an evergreen tree native to Australia, but cultivated in Hawaii. Comments: A raffle follows the prix-fixe viewing-dining event ($45 per person) with prizes of a dinner for two at any Pinot restaurant (there are three operating, two more on the way), a magnum of champagne and an autographed copy of chef-owner Joachim Splichal's cookbook.

Menu: An unspecified four-course dinner includes hors d'oeuvres and champagne.

Raleigh Studios

Address: 650 N. Bronson Ave., Hollywood.

Phone: (213) 654-7449.

Cuisine: Varied.

Comments: Tickets for this AIDS Healthcare Foundation The AIDS Healthcare Foundation is a non profit, Los Angeles-based AIDS treatment and advocacy center. Their official founding pledge is to "provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy, regardless of ability to pay. , black-tie, fund-raiser party are $150 and $250 each, the latter with VIP status. Food is prepared by a number of local restaurants and caterers. Event offers a raffle, auction and several stars attending.

Menu: As a buffet event with several noteworthy restaurants and caterers providing the fare, this is one of the better spreads on the Oscar party circuit.
