Mischief and mystery lurk in every corner of Greenfield Village as visitors traipse in time to the early 1900s. Walking scarecrows and talking ghosts line the autumn-colored streets as children of all ages, collect a trove of treats at stations along the various routes. The historic districts turn into favorite Hallowe'en haunts filled with lavishly clad characters based on costumes and traditions of this era. "Our program brings all of the costuming, decorating and celebrating from the nineteen teens and turns into an event that transforms the village into a mystical and magical Halloween celebration," said Christian Overland, director of Greenfield Village. "Everything about this program is unique, from the characters, to the stories told, to the treats consumed. It's not to be missed."
