The "Crooked Road" is what people used to call the stretch of the 253 mile long U.S. Highway 58 that crosses through Virginia's Blue Ridge Blue Ridge, eastern range of the Appalachian Mts., extending south from S Pa. to N Ga.; highest mountains in the E United States.
