I'M slightly bemused by the defence offered by unemployed Trisha guest Ian Wallace Ian Wallace can refer to the following people:
  • D. Ian M. Wallace - ornithologist
  • Ian Wallace (author) - science fiction author
  • Ian Wallace (artist) - pioneer of Vancouver's conceptual art movement
 at his trial for assault this week. He claimed that he was intimidated and goaded by researchers at the daytime TV show into "going for" his equally suave love rival Sean Newey.

His defence lawyer said: "The researcher in effect taunted him and wound him up... for several hours... He was told not to 'take any s**t' and to scare him to get the answers he needed."

In my experience, TV researchers are posh, willowy wil·low·y
