I understand Gene Cartwright's novel was a Pulitzer Prize Fiction nominee last year. A Family Gathering is a page-turner that took me on a journey few books do. I feel like I know every single character, especially Deborah, Aunt Rose, Matthew, and Gram D'Lena. The surprise was the role of former President, Bull Clinton.
