They desperately need a manager sooner rather than later and another couple of defeats will have poor old Stevie Frail looking for alternative employment. Hearts may have done him a "favour" by giving him the job on a caretaker basis but they also can lay all the blame at his feet if things go wrong. Also a former player, whose defensive versatility often counted against him in the attacking Hearts team in the 1970s, Jefferies has enjoyed considerably , Craig Levein Craig William Levein (born 22 October 1964 in Dunfermline) is a Scottish former professional footballer and current football manager. Levein currently manages Scottish Premier League club Dundee United. and Billy Davies. Davies currently has no job and would be an easy appointment but it will take a brave man to pick up this poisoned chalice chalice [Lat.,=cup], ancient name for a drinking cup, retained for the eucharistic or communion cup.
