ARMSTRONG PROUD Laura Cleary beamed as she was reunited with her beloved pet yesterday - 300 miles from where the dog was snatched. Dubliner Laura, 21, made the trip to London after staff at Battersea Dogs Home recovered her pet Holly by identifying her with a microchip. Holding Holly in her arms, Laura told of her joy at recovering the dog months after she gave up hope of ever seeing her again. She said: "It's just fantastic to have her back - I still can't believe we've found her. "I brought her blanket and some toys and when she saw me with them she came straight over. "It was just lovely to see she remembered me after being away for so long." The three-year-old terrier went missing from her Dublin kennel in April. The devastated owner carried out a frantic search but could find no trace of her cherished pet. And her worst fears were realised when pet detective Robert Kenney confirmed Holly had been dognapped. Accepting she lost her friend for good, Laura tried to move on by adopting another stray - a Yorkshire terrier Yorkshire terrier, breed of small, spirited toy dog originated and developed in Yorkshire, England, in the mid-19th cent.
