But as the season wears on and the show's writers are called upon to keep the action rolling along at the same relentlessly breathless pace, something has to give, and it's usually all common sense. None of it's particularly credible at this point. But the performances and the direction are fueled with such urgency that the drama is tough to resist. 24 - Three stars What: Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) day gets increasingly worse.
