Brave New World
 is joining comic book stores nationwide in handing out special issues designed to be friendly to the uninitiated un·in·i·ti·at·ed

The comic book industry is playing off Friday's premiere of ``Spider- Man'' to generate interest in comic books. About 2,000 retailers around the world are expected to hand out about 1.5 million comics.

Freeman plans to hand about 7,000 comics but advises those planning to attend to come early because he is expecting about 2,000 customers to show up at his shop at 23566 W. Lyons Ave.

A bake sale is a fundraising activity where baked goods such as doughnuts, cupcakes and cookies, sometimes along with ethnic foods, are sold.

``Everyone who lines up will get a free comic book,'' he said.
